An honest note on what this actually does
This tool removes redundant internal structure and re-optimizes how your PDF is stored — real savings, but modest ones, typically in the 5–20% range. It does not recompress the images inside your PDF (which is where most of a file's size usually comes from), since that requires re-encoding image data in a way that's hard to do reliably without a server-side image pipeline. For a PDF that's mostly scanned photos or high-resolution images, expect limited savings here — this tool shines more on text-heavy, form-heavy, or oddly-bloated PDFs than on image-dominated ones.
